Turkey Signs $1B Deal for Landing Platform Dock

Turski predsjednik Recep Tayyip Erdogan otvorio je danas u Ankari prvi turski centar za svemirska istraživanja, pod nazivom Centar za integraciju i testiranje svemirskih sistema (USET).



USET je oformljen je posredstvom turskog Podsekretarijata za vojnu industriju i komunikacijskog satelita Turksat, a njime će upravljati turska kompanija TUSAS. U centru će biti vršena montaža i dalja integracija satelita Gokturk-1 i prvog komunikacijskog satelita turske proizvodnje Turksat 6A.



Centar se nalazi na prostoru od 3.800 kvadratnih metara, a imat će mogućnost vršenja montaže, dalje integracije i testiranja više od jednog satelita u isto vrijeme, koji su težine do pet tona.



Prvi turski centar za svemirska istraživanja pružat će podršku i međunarodnim pojektima za istraživanje, iz ovog centra satelit Gokturk-1 će nakon daljeg integrisanja i testova za okolinu biti poslan u prostor za lansiranje.



Današnjim otvaranjem Turska je postala jedna od rijetkih zemalja koja posjeduje centar ovoga tipa. Centar je direktno povezan sa vojnim aerodromom čime neće biti potrebe za transportom satelita drumskim saobraćajem. Ovaj centar će također pružiti i značajne prednosti u sigurnosti, te u smislu troškova i upravljanja rizikom.



Testiranja satelita u centru s ciljem otkrivanja mogućih elektromagnetnih smetnji, kao i potvrđivanja harmonije rada u smislu elektromagnetske opreme i satelita, će biti vršena u prostorijama potpuno izolovanim od vanjskog okruženja. Testovi satelita uključuju i elektrodinamičke vibracije.



Ceremoniji svečanog otvaranja u Ankari, pored Erdogana, prisustvovali su i ministar odbrane Ismet Yilmaz, ministar prometa, pomorstva i komunikacije Feridun Bilgin, ministar zdravstva Mehmet Muezzinoglu, predstavnici Generalštaba turskih Oružanih snaga, brojni zastupnici u parlamentu i brojni gosti.

Citat:Turkish representatives showed interest in purchasing Russian air defense systems, Deputy CEO of Rosoboronexport Sergey Goreslavsky said at IDEF-2015 exhibition held in Istanbul, TASS reports.

Representative of the Russian company noted that Turkish Minister of Defense visited Russian display at IDEF-2015, “so he did a courtesy to our company”. “He said that the country is ready to continue cooperation in the area of technology transfer,” Goreslavsky noted.
“We see that Turkey is interested in different air defense systems including Antey-2500,” he added.

Turkey To Select Foreign Partner for Fighter Program

Citat:One senior procurement official said the contract involving the foreign partner would be around US $1 billion.

Early in March, Turkey's procurement agency, the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM), released a request for information (RFI) for the F-X program. A number of international aerospace manufacturers have replied to the RFI, the official said, including BAE Systems, Saab, China's Shenyang Aircraft Corp., Airbus Germany, Alenia and Sierra Nevada Corp. (SNC)

"These potential bidders have expressed their interest to our request for information. There may be others that can come into the bidding picture at the request for proposal stage," said the official.

The rifle is a 7.62mm caliber derivative of the German HK417 rifle, itself a derivative of the AR-15 series of rifles. The MPT-76 inherits the operating rod mechanism of the G36 through its German parents, but differs from the HK417 in some details of the handguard mounting system and the receiver.
Citat:Under the initial phase of the project, which will see the production of 35,014 MPT-76s, 20,000 rifles will be manufactured for the land and naval forces commands as well as for the gendarmerie general command, according to a statement released by the SSM. The value of the contract is around TRY80 million (USD30 million). The project intends the MPT-76s to meet the TSK’s 7.62 mm infantry rifle requirements.
