New Generation Helicopter to Appear in Russia in Seven Years
It is planned to develop a new generation of high speed helicopter in Russia over the coming 7 years, the general director of the Unified Industrial Corporation (OPK) Oboronprom, Andrey Reus, reported at a press conference at Interfax office.
According to him, this helicopter will reach a speed up to 550 kilometers per hour versus 250 - 300 kilometers per hours that today's helicopters develop. The design of such a helicopter is being developed to day at the base of the two design bureaus included in Vertolety Rossii ((Russia's Helicopters)). Although it is absolutely new technology, the developments will be based on the Mi-38 and Mi-8 projects in the first stage, Mr. Reus announced.
"We need a technological breakthrough," Reus declared, "he who creates such a helicopter first will occupy an absolutely new and prospective niche in the marketplace."
Oboronprom is counting on state support in the creation of the helicopter. Today the state is investing nearly 19 billion rubles a year in the helicopter industry, in which connection this financing has not been constrained, even because of the crisis.

Pritom bi došlo do značajnih oštečenja rotora, krila a i same strukture. Da citiram načelnika uprave za testiranje u Pentagonu: Citat:The aircraft is incapable of autorotation in the case of engine failure, a fact that led a director of the Pentagon's testing office in 2005 to say that if the Osprey loses power while flying like a helicopter below 1,600 feet (490 m), emergency landings "are not likely to be survivable"But Captain Justin (Moon) McKinney, a V-22 pilot, says that this will not be a problem, "We can turn it into a plane and glide it down, just like a C-130"
3 Performanse su prilično slične:
Ka-92 (po prikupljenim informacijma sa neta)
Crew: two pilots
Capacity: 30 passengers
Take-off weight : 15,000 kg
Range: 1,400km
Powerplant: 2× Klimov VK2500 engines , 2,400hp at take-off and 2,700hp in emergency mode, or the more advanced VK3000 (TV7-117V), developing 2,800hp and 3,750hp
Maximum speed: 500 km/h
Cruise speed: 400 km/h

V-22 Osprey
