The minister emphasized that the contract was granted to the European manufacturer but not yet signed. The value of this contract would be around 1,570 million euros.

According to Airbus DS, the winglet and engine modifications add 3-6% in overall performance, with just a 30 kg weight penalty. Figures released by the company show an increase of 320 km in the aircraft's range and 30 minutes of additional time on station. In addition, the engine upgrade alone affords an extra 1.5 tonnes in payload in hot and high conditions.

Sa aviona skidaju nemačke delove

Izvršni direktor Erbasa Tom Enders rekao je početkom ovog meseca da kompanija razmišlja da napravi avion bez nemačkih delova zbog zabrane koja ne nailazi na odobravanje Velike Britanije, Francuske i Španije, piše Al Džazira.
Nemačka je zabranu uvela u oktobru, nakon ubistva Džamala Kašogija. Zbog toga je Saudijskoj Arabiji obustavila isporuku već odobrene pošiljke oružja.
Prema postojećim ugovorima, Berlin ima pravo zaustaviti prodaju oružja koje uključuje nemačke delove.
"Sada od aviona odvajamo nemačke delove", rekao je Rojtersov izvor, koji je dodao da oni čine četiri odsto letelice.
Erbas je primio 208 narudžbi za vojni transportni avion iz 28 zemalja, dok ih je trenutno operativnih 166.

India concludes price negotiations to acquire 62 C295 transport aircraft
Citat:India's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has concluded price negotiations to acquire a total of 62 Airbus Defence and Space C295 medium transport aircraft (MTA) for the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
IAF sources told Jane's on 28 March that the MoD's Contract Negotiation Committee (CNC) concluded consultations with Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) - which is in a joint venture (JV) with Airbus for the MTA programme - to procure the 62 platforms for around EUR2.8 billion (USD3.15 billion).
They said the aircraft deal - which would include 56 platforms for the IAF to replace the service's ageing fleet of Avro 748M transports, and six for the ICG - is expected to be signed after a new Indian government assumes office following general elections set to begin on 11 April.
The MTA programme envisages the direct import of 16 C295s and the local assembly/licence-building of the remaining 46 aircraft at a facility set up by the JV near Bangalore. In keeping with the 2013 MTA tender, 24 of these will be imported in kit form for local assembly and include a 30% indigenous content. The level of indigenous content is then expected to double to 60% in the remaining 22 platforms.
Delivery of the first locally assembled C295 is expected to begin within 60 months of the contract being signed, industry sources said.

The transport aircraft will make a night stop at Las Palmas and continue its flight for the final leg on Friday 12 April 2019.
