Citat:Viasat has announced the integration of its secure broadband SATCOM onto an Irish Air Corps’ Airbus C295 MSA aircraft.

The flexible broadband Ku- and Ka-band was installed on the jet in collaboration with Airbus, integrating the communication company’s flexible dual-band broadband terminal, the GAT-5530, to provide the C295 with “enhanced capability.”

The addition of the terminal will reportedly provide “greater capability through secure, reliable satellite connectivity and enhance support for a range of command, control and communication missions.”

Citat:On 18 January 2024, the first two C295MW medium tactical transport aircraft for the Angkatan Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (ATUDB, Royal Brunei Air Force) started their delivery flight from Sevilla-San Pablo, Spain.

The aircraft, serials TUDB502 (c/n 224) and TUDB503 (c/n 225), made a night stop at Malta-Luqa before continuing their journey to Luxor (Egypt) the next day.
