Argentinski EMB-312 Tucano imaju nove zadatke
Argentine Air Force deploys Tucano aircraft for interception
Citat:Two days after the Argentine government declared a one-year security emergency, the Argentine Air Force announced on 21 January that it will permanently deploy some of its Embraer EMB-312 Tucano aircraft to take part for the first time in border patrol missions, joining the FMA IA-58A Pucará.
The Tucanos were received in 1987 by the Military Aviation School for advanced training.
Two years ago the air force painted two examples with an air superiority scheme, aiming to use them for patrol missions on the northern border, but this never materialised.
Now, those two aircraft will be the first to be deployed and the air force is deciding which machine gun pods will be used on them to intercept illegal flights.
