US extends Super Tucano procurement contract for Afghanistan

On 19 December 2018, four EMB-314/A-29B Super Tucanos of the Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACh, Chilean Air Force) were seen at Foz do Iguaçu Airport (Brazil), named after the nearby waterfalls.

The four-some is en route on a delivery flight to Chile, supported by KC-130R Hercules FACh (serial 992) of Grupo 10. The serial numbers of the A-29B Super Tucanos are 465, 466, 467 and 468.

This is the second order made to Embraer by Chile. FACh has now eighteen Super Tucanos in service, all assigned to Grupo de Aviación Nº1 based at Iquique/Diego Aracena, Base Aérea Los Condores. First deliveries of A-29s to Chile took place in 2010, the aircraft operate alongside the Grupo's A-36 Toqui aircraft.
