Angoli isporucena prva tri A-29 Super Tucano

Turbopropelerski Super Tucano se pokazao odličnim avionom za pratroliranje i nadzor terena, kao i za borbu protiv gerilaca. Među tim je akcijama najpoznatija 30-dnevna brazilska operacija Ágata od 5. kolovoza 2011. sa 35 aviona i 300 pješaka protiv ilegalnih postrojenja i skupina prerađivača i trgovaca drogom i njihovih uzletišta u prašumskom području na granici s Kolumbijom.

Beechcraft opet protestvuje zbog izbora USAF-a i pokusace da blokira ugovor po drui put.
Citat:The protest filed with the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) will put the light air support (LAS) programme back in the legal crosshairs. The same contract was awarded to the Sierra Nevada/Embraer team a year ago, but was "set aside" after the USAF discovered irregularities in the acquisition process.
Now, Beechcraft wants to know why the USAF selected the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano despite the aircraft costing 40% more than a bid based on the AT-6 Texan II.
