Koncept ima nekoliko prednosti: Dron se napaja kablom pa može dugo ostati u vazduhu, teško ga je ometati, itd.
Ima i par mana. Visina leta je ograničena kao i radijus kretanja. A najgore je što kao takav predstavlja demaskirajući element. To možda i nije problem ako se dron koristi kao "stražar" u nekakvoj bazi ili drugiom stacionarnom objektu koji i nema smisla maskirati. Ali ako bi se vozilo opremilo zujalicom koja stalno "visi" iznad, na visini od 30-50 metara i osmatra okolo, to već ne bi valjalo. Ili bi (u nekim situacijama) koristi dežurstva "očiju na nebu" prevazišle nedostatke?

Grci pokusavaju nesto da naprave

Greece is taking the right steps.”
According to News Auto, the main advantage of the Greek drone is its autonomy. Classic drones can fly for 20 to 30 minutes, while what Greece is preparing will be able to fly for about 2 hours!
Also, the ODA and the universities are preparing a special version of the Greek drone to be used in emergency situations, such as fires, floods and other natural disasters.
The drone will be able to fly for 10 hours continuously and transmit from the air the management of a critical situation in order to save human lives.
