Lynx-(Ris)
Visenamenski helikopter,koji je projektovan u kooperaciji Westland i francuski Aerospatial.Prvi prototip je poleteo u Martu 1971.godine.Razvoj ovog visenamenskog helikoptera se odvijao u dva pravca.Za britansku KoV su izradjivani helikopteri opste namene Lynx AH Mk.1,koji su kasnije prepravljeni(vecina) u varijantu Lynx AH Mk.7,koji je posedovao poboljsane repne rotore,motore sa kutijastim uredjajem za hladjenje izduvnih gasova.Drugi pravac razvoja je bio izrade mornaricke varijante koji je dobio oznaku Lynx HAS Mk.2 u britanskoj mornarici i Lynx Mk.2(FN) u francuskoj mornarici.Lynx se u to vreme odlikovao naprednom avionikom i odlicnom manevrabilnoscu.U protivoklopnoj borbi Mk.1 se naoruzavao sa osam raketa TOW na bocnim nosacima,a mornaricka varijanta je nosila protivbrodske rakete Sea Skua.Mornaricka verzija HAS Mk.2 je poletela u Februaru 1976.godine,a za njom je kasnije dosao poboljsani HAS Mk.3(HAS-Helicopter-Anti-Submarine) i HMA Mk.8 Super Lynx-(HMA-Helicopter-Maritime Attack).Juna 1984.godine,poleteo je prototip Lynx-3,gde se proizvodjac nadao da kao prve potencijalne kupce ima Francusku i Nemacku,ali isti nisu bili zainteresovani za njega iz razloga sto su vec imali svoj projekat preko Eurocoptera-Tiger.Lynx-3 je zbog nezainteresovanosti inostarnih kupaca otkazan 1987.godine.Lynx-3 je bio smernica za nastajanje kopnenog Lynx AH Mk.7 koji je poleteo 1989.godine,a prve isporuke su zapocete vec 1991.godine, usao je u upotrebu pod nazivom Lynx AH Mk.9
Devedesetih godina kompanija Westland je iskoristila iskustva i tehnologije sa mornarickog HAS Mk.3 i to sve prenela u poboljsanu,modernizovanu varijantu Lynx HMA Mk.8.
Verzija za britanski KoV naoruzana je sa mitraljezom 7,62mm ili sa dva topa 20mm koji se montiraju na spoljnim nosacima,od raketa nosi NRZ kao i HOT, Hellfire,TOW.Pored toga Mk.7 poseduje IC stitnike izduvnih gasova,sto mu daje velike prednosti nad protivnickim IC vodjenim raketama,snazniji motor i poboljsanu elektroniku.Za izradu lopatice noseceg rotora koriscen je kompozitni materijal.Kabina je opremljena displejom,a piloti snabdeveni naocarima za nocno letenje.Poseduju defanzivne sisteme tipa detektora magnetskih anomalija,uredjaj za pasivnu identifikaciju pomocu termalne slike,integrisan GPS i inercijalni navigacijski sistem.
Lynx je ucestvovao u Foklandskom ratu,Zalivskom prvom i drugom,Britanskoj intervenciji u Sijera Leoneu.

Argentina
Argentine Navy: The Argentine Naval Aviation ordered ten Mk.23s but only two were delivered before the outbreak of the Falklands War and the ensuing arms embargo imposed by the British. To make up for the undelivered aircraft, the Argentines ordered the Eurocopter Fennec. The two delivered helicopters in addition to the undelivered helicopters were later sold to the Danish Navy and Brazilian Navy.
Nigeria
Nigerian Navy: 3 Lynx Mk.89 (One caught fire and was destroyed) - used for anti-submarine warfare. Retired from service.
Pakistan
Pakistan Navy - Pakistan Naval Air Arm: 3 Lynx Mk.3 - used for anti-ship / anti-submarine / transport duties. These aircraft have been retired from service since 2003.
