USAF looks at fourth-gen fighters

Citat:A senior USAF officer has said that Air Combat Command is studying the viability of purchasing new fourth-generation fighter aircraft. Up to 72 aircraft could be purchased to equip a single fighter wing, with upgrades of legacy fighters also being evaluated.
The study has come about partly due to the delivery rates of F-35A Lightning IIs, plus the desire for a high-end, low-end fighter mix.
One of the options clearly being reviewed is the Boeing Advanced F-15.

USAF je 2013 počeo testirati neku naprednu verziju F-15E a tu je i F-15SE koji je bio privremeni pobednik za nov/stari avion ROKAF. Pa su korejci ponovili tender i izabrali F-35A.

Lobiraju da bombarderske snage broje 200 bombardera kako bi imali 150-160 operativnih.

“The analysis affirms the necessity of maintaining a force of 200 advanced bombers, providing an operational force of 150 to 160 aircraft to give national leaders the nuclear and conventional air-breathing power projection option to deter or defeat any foe,” he writes. “A modernised bomber force of 200 aircraft will sustain America’s asymmetric advantage in long-range precision strike for decades to come.”

zapravo, trose vise vodjenih bombi nego dobivaju isporukama ove godine. Kad se gleda ukupan dosadasnji inventar, na ISIL su potrosili jednu dvadesetinu ukupnog inventara vodjenih bombi. zapravo, brojka od 22 tisuce je ukupan broj projektila, raketa i bombi u 2015 godini. hellfirei su se npr narucivali manje od tisucu godisnje do 2014, potom 1,500 komada u 2015, a za 2016 je ugovoreno odjednom 5,500.

Slicno i s jdamima, oko 4 tisuce godisnje do 2016 a u 2016 odjednom ugovoreno 12 tisuca. Za pavewayje ne mogu naci podatke... Dakle svakako se trosi vise nego se kupuje, gledano unutar godine dana.
